About

I'm a licensed professional counselor (LPC-A) in Pittsburgh, PA. I work at the intersection of clinical practice, contemplative study, and investigative journalism.

Clinical Work

I specialize in eating disorders (including ARFID), gambling addiction, and couples therapy. My clinical approach integrates Emotionally Focused Therapy, Relational-Cultural Theory, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. I've worked across residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient levels of care.

I developed the Personal Reflection Inventory, a 567-item self-assessment that helps people understand their psychological patterns without the gatekeeping of traditional clinical instruments.

I also built ICNS, a clinical network analysis tool that maps the unique symptom pathways maintaining each patient's disorder, enabling targeted interventions based on individual data rather than diagnostic categories.

Teaching

I facilitate DBT skills groups and contemplative study groups, including a commentary series on the 37 Practices of a Bodhisattva. I'm developing psychoeducation courses for people living with eating disorders (and their families) that translate clinical research into accessible, structured learning.

Journalism

I run Hesitation Media, with Memory Hole as the investigative imprint. My editorial principle is being right over being first. Current investigations cover public authority governance, PAC fraud, and environmental health in the Ohio River Corridor.
