First Profitable Sample
C1 capstone — the first profitable 10k-hand sample at NL10 with full audit trail.
Scenario
Twelve weeks of foundations work converge on a single empirical question — can you beat NL10 over 10,000 hands. The sample is too small to prove a real win-rate; the variance band still includes losing players. The point is not statistical certainty. The point is that you have a logged decision trail, a calibration record, a leak registry, and a postmortem on every losing session. The artifact is the audit, not the win-rate.
Success criteria
- 10,000 hands logged through poker-coach at NL10 (or NL5/NL10 mix)
- PokerTracker DB export with hands matched to poker-coach session IDs
- Brier calibration report from poker-coach with at least 30 resolved reads
- Retrospective write-up (~800 words) covering biggest leak found, biggest leak fixed, and best calibrated read
- Three weekly audit reports filed via poker-coach audit weekly
This capstone marks the transition from Phase 1 (Foundations) to Phase 2 (Stake climb). The criteria are deliberately weighted toward audit discipline rather than result. A losing 10k-hand sample with a tight calibration curve and three closed leaks is a stronger submission than a winning sample with no audit trail.
